Russell basically provides the reader with his notes on Hooker's masterful work. It's a good read for the uninitiated and refers to the original work often. It encouraged me to read more of Hooker and others' writings about Hooker. The VEA Medea is a real foundation of Anglican/Episcopal beliefs.
This is a great introduction. It will really help me turn cc to the parts of the book I want to know more about. Someday I hope someone puts Hooker' s work into modern English.

A great overview making Hooker accessible. A good book for those unable to make it through the original volumes in Elizabethan English.
