Simple book that communicates the many ways in which a parent may show their love. The author targets this book for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. While the pictures are expressive yet simple, some of the analogies will be difficult for a younger child to grasp. For example, I love you like a lucky coin hiding under a shoe or I love you like a frosty mug of cold root beer. While a few of the rhymes are off, the illustrations will probably convey the intended message of the parent to the child.Good choice for a parent who wants to reinforce her love for an insecure child or for a teacher to use in a group lesson with young children.
It was cute. Some of the comparisons wouldn't make sense to a child and it wasn't flowy enough to be a regular read around here.
This is creative interpretation that children will be able to relate to which has messages they will grasp and can lead to further discussion with parents. This book should start with children at the age of three for comprehensive content, though some may have trouble at first, that is where. discussion come in. I would like to see this book in schools. Hope others find the good in the piece of work too.
It's cute but there are cuter out there to add to your personal library. Wish we had gotten it at the library first before we bought it.
I would have to say this is probably one of the best Kindle Free eBooks for Children that I have found. My five year old and I sat down to read it together. The illustrations are beautiful and it's an easy read with a heartwarming message. I very much believe in attachment parenting and embrace books that convey how much the child is loved. The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is some of the phrases my daughter didn't understand (i.e. "Like a Feather's Down"). I featured this on my blog as my recommended Children's book of the week!
